Baby Blessings and Naming Ceremonies
There is nothing so precious as a new life coming into our world, buoyant with hope and possibility. The sweetness that an infant brings touches our hearts with its purity, innocence and trust.
A Baby Blessing is available for infants up to the age of one year. It is a simple gift from the Spirit that provides a good start in life for the new born.
Naming Ceremonies can be celebrated at any age, spiritual or non-spiritual, sharing commitments from parents and godparents or mentors, with readings, music or other symbolic rituals. The child is welcomed with gifts of unconditional love, honoured for their special qualities and given promises of support to guide and nurture them through their passage into adulthood.
An infant may have both a Spiritual Blessing and Naming Ceremony to celebrate their entry into the world.
